Week one: The last year
Chelsea likes to read in her free time, she finds it very relaxing and gives a person time to unwind for a long day. There are some books that Chelsea starts that Chelsea doesn't always finish because she can/t get interested in the books. Throughout Chelsea's years of reading her interests in books have changed and she has started to like reading more. Sometimes when Chelsea reads she forgets where she is in a book. Chelsea likes a wide variety of books on different topics. She likes to read young adult books. One book that Chelsea is reading now is a conclusion to To all the boys I've loved before she enjoys this book and has read all three. Chelsea read about five books this summer, including three books for Ap literature. One of the books read was called How to read literature like a professor another was The Waves and the last book read was Carmelo Last year Chelsea read some books in class and some outside, a good estimate of the amount of books she read is 10. In Chelsea's house there are about 100 books all throughout. Chelsea has grown as a reading by expanding her interests and even taking harder English classes, which require reading of certain books on that she wouldn't have read in previous years. Chelsea is a reader that will read a book even if she doesn't want to, and get her reading homework done. She doesn't procrastinate.
Chelsea is a writer, she learned to write when she was younger, from the books that made a person trace letters and words. People learn to write in school and their parents teach them when they're young. People write to express their ideas and their experiences, some ideas they come up with in their imagination. In order to write well, someone needs to expand their vocabulary and practice writing, and listen to other people's ideas and comments on that person's work. Chelsea doesn't have one certain type of writing she likes to do, she mostly enjoys free writes, basically any topic. Chelsea gets ideas from some things that she thinks about or things that she thinks about. Chelsea enjoys getting feedback from her peers and her teachers. Chelsea writes when she has extra time and or had a lot going on that day. In general she enjoys what she writes. Chelsea likes putting her thoughts on paper and expressing them and having other people read them if she wants.

Week two: What's really important
In week two of class one of the things I learned was to look at poems carefully and relook at them and evaluate them. And that poems don't always have one specific meaning. Along with words and that people interpret poems and things said in them differently. Another thing I learned in week two of class is creative writing and how we shouldn't limit our brains.
Even if we write and it goes off topic, that we should keep going. And also that if we make a spelling mistake during typing not to change it, keep writing so it doesn't let your brain go off topic. And also how the ap lit test will be. Or can be, for the essay part of it. And how the summer reading tied into part of our school year. Week Four: Making my way One thing we learned this week was how to look a a painting more than one way. Sometimes you have to not look at the title and or the author and really look at the meaning of the picture. Looking at things that most of the time you wouldn’t and to look deeper and how one certain thing can mean multiple things to different people. And in a poem it can be saying one thing but need another, and that we have to consider certain things when looking and reading a poem and when looking at something that’s visual. And from the ted talk that certain poems have things that don’t look like they matter much but always add to the meaning of the picture and sometimes we just have to think and look at them harder. Also from the poem of the week we learned what some words mean and how the way you read a poem and how the words you use can have a huge effect on how the poem sounds and how it sounds. Typing for forty minutes on this poem of how to convince someone that i’m right turned out to be easier than i thought it would be. This shows and proves to me that rereading things over and over again and getting other peoples views on the same thing can influence how you look at certain things and even how you write about them.
Week Six: writing to the extreme Somethings that we learned in week six were: more information on our group project. We also learned that for our final creative writing that making revisions is more than just fixing grammar. And that for our final creative writing that we have to publish can be more than 750 words and also that when writing your work not everyone will like it and that’s just the way it is. And even when you are in the middle of your work or at the end, people are going to comment on your work. And just because people make negative comments on your work doesn’t mean that you should stop. You should not shape yourself on other peoples views. You should do what you like and what you enjoy, some people will like it but others will not and that is ok. Throughout the work that you do you should like it. Also don’t ignore any comments, positive or negative all will help you as a writer become a better one. And that it might be that your first work and or first book is your worse and that is ok, as times goes on you can only get better and expand your ideas and work as a writer. There are numbers to prove that not all people like one thing in writing and that is ok, your work will only be liked by half of the people that like the topic you write about.

Week Three: Different ways of thinkingThis third week of class, one thing that i learned in class was all of us are smarter than one of us, to accomplish more and get a wider understanding of a subject we should work with a group and or as a class. Understanding a certain thing being taught to you isn’t always easy just hearing it from a teacher or just one person, so having other people explain it to you and or talk about it with you can make it very easy to understand and or easy to compare something to it. Another thing we learned was that sometimes there’s a story inside another story and it’s not always easy to see, sometimes we have to really look at something and try to evaluate it and chunk it or get other people’s views. Not always is everyone right but having more than one idea can help your mind expand and get a bigger understanding of that subject. Not all stories or books have a story inside of a story but they can be interpreted differently. Also i learned that there are certain things that you need to be doing that you think you don’t have the time for but you need to make time for and that there are certain things that you don’t need to be doing that you can cut out so that you have time to get done what has to be done. Even if you do not want to do something or find it boring to make sure to get it done because it will show and help you out in the future.
Week five: making revisionsThis week in class we learned how to revise poems, and most of this week has also been around homecoming which gets annoying. Also listening to poems by ross gay and how you might have to listen to poems more than once and look at them while they are being read. Things in a poem can mean many things or a certain object can be something else and that is up to the reader themselves to figure out. And we also learned some more things about our project that we have to do as a group and more of what it consists of. And some short stories that we will be reading and how they will help our essays and presentations. And how art and certain words can give something more meaning. And how Ross Gay’s poems are titled something weird and end up having to do with something completely different. And how there are different elements that make up poems and stories and how they can change the whole perspective of the thing that is being read. We also learned why we are working in groups and why they are groups of three, there are two essays and one presentation and three short stories that needed to be read and done. So that makes it so the work is spread throughout the group evenly. And also that the senior class is not very involved in spirit week.
week Seven: Half way throughIn week seven one thing we learned about this week was how to make our paper complete and also that we ended up not having to do the presentation along with the group essays. We learned that we didn’t have to do them because Ben took too much time on other things (his words). We also learned that any of the elements on the page could go together and we had to learn academic teamwork so that two of the three people in the group would have to work together to get the one essay done. And that they would have to use both stories in the essay together to compare them. We learned more in depth about the paper and it finally ended up making sense. Anf for the person who had to just do one essay with one short story and a different element for their essay, they learned how to work by themselves and still get more feedback on how they could improve and make their essay better. We also learned that both of the papers are due on sunday late at night rather than friday. We also learned that in college that when there are group projects not everyone will be able to meet together and work at the same time on the project. And that’s what we had to do in this class in a way. We might have had to work outside of school on this and maybe we weren’t able to all meet and help at the same time.
